Infection prevention and control (IPC) guidance in healthcare settings

IPC COVID-19 Guidance

The four UK countries have developed COVID-19 guidance for IPC in all health and care settings. Some deviations from the UK COVID-19 IPC remobilisation guidance exist for Scotland and these have approved via consultation NHS Boards, key national and local stakeholders and approved by the CNO Nosocomial Review Group.

The Scottish COVID-19 Addendums have been produced to provide Scottish context where there are deviations from UK IPC guidance. Addendums are available for acute settings, care home settings and community health and care settings. These addendums are mandatory for use in Scotland and can be accessed from the National Infection Prevention and Control Manual online portal. As evidence emerges ARHAI Scotland will continue to update guidance. Always check that you are using the latest version.
