Sexual health and blood borne virus (SHBBV) framework, Scotland data portal

A range of local and national data are now available in this resource which has been prepared in association with the Scottish Government, the Information Services Division of National Services Scotland (ISD), all Scottish (BBV) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) testing laboratories and NHS boards.

The SHBBV Scotland data portal contains a number of data tables and other resources. These include:

  • data tables for all the SHBBV Framework outcome indicators for sexual health, HIV, Hepatitis C virus (HCV) and, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV)
  • summary data tables up to Scotland level for all outcome indicators for sexual health, HIV, HCV, and HBV
  • summary information containing trend data, commentary and interpretation and information for public health action. The first set examines gonorrhoea infection, acute and chronic HBV infection, HIV treatment and care, and uptake and response to HCV treatment. Further summaries will be produced during 2018

The data tables are updated on an annual basis with the exception of those on the number of new individuals commencing HCV treatment which are updated quarterly.

These data are sensitive and in many instances data in the tables have required to be suppressed to prevent deductive disclosure; this is indicated by the use of an asterisk when the data are <5. In addition, some secondary suppression is required, also indicated by an asterisk to support the primary masking and prevent deductive disclosure.
