This guidance is to support those working in primary care settings – such as general medical practice, general dental practice, optometry and pharmacy – with general public health measures required to manage the spread of COVID-19. This guidance covers key issues for primary care from a health protection perspective.

​To support colleagues HPS has produced a short videoclip​ showing the correct order for putting on (donning) and the safe order for removal (doffing) and disposal of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers in a primary care setting.
